Seminars are presented on a variety of topics by exhibitors in the show, councils of the Home Builders Association and special guest speakers.  All seminars are free to attend with paid admission to the show.

      Linda Cobb is a garden writer, speaker, and master gardener who lives and gardens in South Carolina.  She has spoken at the Philadelphia Flower Show, Chicago Botanic Garden, and Cleveland Home and Garden Show.  Linda has worked in television as host of The Rookie Gardener series.  She has contributed articles for South Carolina Home and Garden Magazine and Alive magazine and contributes regular gardening columns to the Spartanburg Herald-Journal and South Carolina magazine.  She also teaches new master gardeners across the state.  Meet Linda at the show and attend her seminar, Annuals and Perennials: Getting Ready for Spring, at 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 15 the at the Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show.

Michael Strong is Vice President of Brothers Strong, Inc. and GreenHaus Builders, Inc. He has earned the Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), Graduate Master Builder (GMB), and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist professional designations from the National Association of Home Builders.

Brothers Strong is a nationally recognized residential remodeling firm. GreenHaus Builders, their newest corporation was opened in 2005 and specializes in the construction of healthier, high-performance Green Homes and is currently building one of only 100 LEED pilots in the U.S.

Michael Strong will present Build Your New Home Green with the Green Building Council of Greater Columbia on Friday, March 14 at the Home & Garden Show.  He will also join the council, Remodeling Services Unlimited and A-Therm Remodelors on Saturday, March 15 at 12:30p to present Alive, Green and Well: Building and Remodeling Green.
