     March 12, 13 & 14, 2010 - SC State Fairgrounds

The Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia (HBAGC) presents the 44th Annual Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show at the SC State Fairgrounds Friday, March 12 through Sunday, March 14, 2010.  Driving Directions

The Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show is the largest home and garden exhibition in the Midlands and will feature displays in all of the buildings at the state fairgrounds.  Over 300 exhibitors in home construction, home improvement, and outdoor products fill the Americraft Cantey, Ellison, Moore, Ruff and Hampton Buildings, and outdoor areas.

A number of educational seminars are offered daily by exhibitors on a variety of topics like home building, home buying, remodeling, gardening and green remodeling and building.  Many seminars will focus on saving energy and money this year like “Saving Energy with Window Film” and “Solar Power for Your Heating and Air Conditioning System” just to name a few.  See the complete seminar schedule here.  All seminars are free to attend with admission to the show.

In addition to the many tried-and-true products and services presented at the show each year, many exhibitors will display items that are completely new to the industry and our area.  See what new and exciting products are available for the home and garden at the Home & Garden Show.  Also, energy efficient products and services will be spotlighted throughout the event, including the upcoming SC Appliance Rebate program through the SC Energy Office.  Learn how to save on new appliances starting March 31.  If that’s not enough to get your attention, exhibitors will be giving away over $20,000 in prizes throughout the show.  You’ve got to come to the show to win, so don’t miss out!

The Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show will be held Friday, March 12 through Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the SC State Fairgrounds.  Admission is $6 per person at the gate kids 14 and under enter FREE.  Tickets are $5 for Military with ID and Senior Citizens.  A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Keven Cohen Radiothon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  The radiothon starts on Friday at the Home & Garden show. (There was a typo in the Saturday, Feb. 27 edition of The State newspaper regarding ticket prices.  The correct prices are listed above.)
