Lagniappe Project - The Denny Home
Lagniappe Project - The Denny Home

The Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia Charitable Foundation, through the generosity of HBA members, has built a home for the Denny Family. Brian Denny suffered a serious injury at work on March 15, 2010. Brian, an employee of Stock Building Supply in Columbia, had a C3/C4 injury. He currently is paralyzed from his shoulders down. Brian and his wife, Jessica, have two beautiful children, Kendall - 8 years old, and Cooper - 6 years old.
The totally accessible home is in Fisher’s Woods in Northeast Columbia and will be known as Lagniappe (pronounced LAN-yap) meaning "a little something extra" or "an extra or unexpected gift."
“We feel that the Lord has definitely given us a 'lil lagniappe by blessing us with this house - it's more than we ever dreamed, and we're so thankful!” –The Dennys

The home is now complete! A Ribbon Cutting and Blessing Ceremony was held Friday, January 20 at the home. Thanks to everyone who attended the event to help bless the new home and the Denny Family. (See pictures from this event at the HBA Facebook page.)
