Sign Up For a Committee!

HBA Members, we need your help throughout the year to do everything the association does.  Participating in a committee is a great way to meet fellow members, grow the association, and help your business.  Contact the staff member noted to get involved. 

AMBASSADOR CLUB Assist with and conduct new member orientations; play a vital role in getting new members involved; serve as a liaison between members and HBA leadership. Contact Lynn Hawley.

CODES & INSPECTIONS  Monitor proposed changes in building codes; responsible for establishing and maintaining a forum for communication between building inspection departments and builder members. Contact Earl McLeod.

EDUCATION Inform members of all educational programs and services available by our association, NAHB and HBASC, and coordinate and conduct the Builder Workshops. Contact Bin Wilcenski.

GOLF TOURNAMENTS   Plan, coordinate, and promote annual HBA golf tournaments. Contact Heather McDonald to help with the HBA Golf Classic.  Contact Lynn Hawley to help with the Summer Golf Outing.

GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS   Develop and coordinate local and state legislative goals; monitor state and local ordinances/legislation; inform membership of what action is needed. Contact Earl McLeod.

HOME SHOWS   Plan, organize, and promote Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show and the Home Improvement Show as an income-producing project for HBA. Contact Earl McLeod.

MEMBERSHIP   Establish goals for membership growth; plan and conduct programs for membership development and retention. Contact Rebecca Best.

POLITICAL EDUCATION Evaluate local political races and recommend allocation of funds from S.C. Builders Political Action Committee. Contact Earl McLeod.

PUBLIC RELATIONSPromote HBA services to members through an internal information program- newsletter, magazine, bulletins or brochures. Display useful publications available from NAHB and encourage members to use these materials. Contact Earl McLeod.
